Album Review: Pray For The Wicked

19:30

My first album review! Told you guys I was going to start posting about things I'm truly passionate about!

So, Panic! At The Disco is up there with my top 3 favourite bands, All Time Low being the first. Before I jump into this review I wanted to type a few things out to you guys.

I'm going to be rating these song reviews, it's not going to be about how much I love Brendon and how much I love the album - It's not going to be a biased review just because they are my favourite band! The rating of the songs is going to be out of 10 and out of 10 how much of a chance I would click on that song to listen to again and how much I love it. Does that make sense?

I wasn't expecting this album so soon. Everyone in the world knows how much I love Brendon Urie and Panic! At The Disco. I saw him/them live just after Death Of A Bachelor was released, I've been a listener since Pretty Odd came out and it was such a fantastic concert. He is truly amazing. The thing I love about Brendon is how much he can change his voice - He can go high, low, fast, slow, he can do it all, he is also super dorky which you can tell in this album. So please remember all of this when you are reading my reviews, I am in no single way ever slating him or Panic! I've never loved a band or person more than I do Brendon (with the exception of Alex Gaskarth and All Time Low) Everytime I listen to Panic! I literally cry inside. He is such a pure human, he is gorgeous and adorable and I just want to tell him how well him and his band have done with this new album - It is honestly amazing and my new favourite album of the year.

Without further ado.. here is my review!

(Fuck A) Silver Lining (8/10) - This was the first song I listened to out of the 4 they released early, I was sceptical at first but who can not love this one? Brendon is taking a super different approach to this album and I know I'm very much digging it. I danced around the front room on my 21st birthday to this song (and the next one)

Say Amen (Saturday Night) (9/10) - I'm so obsessed with the music video to this song, everytime I listen to this song I think about the music video and imagine myself as Brendon, being super freaking badass. This song is mysterious and fun and it makes you wanna break doors down in a totally fancy way.

Hey Look Ma, I Made It (9/10) - I don't know what it is about this song, I just love it. It's sort of super inspirational somehow, even while hes taking about pimps. Everything in this song smooths itself out and perfectly fades into verse after verse - I feel like I'm constantly just going to be telling you guys how amazing Brendon is! I love love the title to this song aswell, Brendon talks about his mother a lot in this album which adds some sort of depth to the album. This is such a happy lovely proud song, it's very compact aswell - I feel like if you sang every single word perfectly in time without missing a beat you would feel badass. Just like when I rap Migraine by Twenty One Pilots without missing a beat. Powerful.

High Hopes (9/10) - Everytime I listen to this song I perform some sort of show with my hands and I jump around a lot, it's sassy and I love it, I want to scream this song as loud as possible. I've also realised that Brendon sings a lot about how much he believes in himself and his talent in this album, which makes me such a proud listener. You deserve it Brendon, you really do.

Roaring 20s (10/10) - Now its at this part of the album where I really really get my groove on. This is definitely one of my favourite ones, I have 2 favourite parts of this song, where Brendon says "Broadway is black like a sinkhole" and "Roll me like a blunt 'cus I wanna go home" As much as I love all the old Panic! albums and songs, I definitely loved more when they were more upbeat. I love how this song is sometimes slow and fast, it really makes the song. It pumps me up so much, try walking to work listening to this song!

Dancings Not A Crime (9/10) - Also another one of my favourite ones, it's so upbeat and really pumps me up. It sort of feels like a song that would be in a movie too and I can literally see this being performed live at a concert and everyone in the crowd dancing. This song is silly and messy and I absolutely adore it. Another point here is.. if Glee was still airing Blaine Anderson would definitely sing this song. This song would even make random strangers dance with eachother, this song is an art form.

One Of The Drunks (6/10) - The lyrics to all the songs on this album for some reason were released a little bit earlier, the songs weren't out but the lyrics were, so I read them all and for some reason these didn't amaze me that much. I don't know why I thought that because every Panic! song is amazing. But for some reason this song feels really flat to me, but I still adore it. Brendons vocals on this really saves the song, it's very catchy. Also I relate abit to this song.. I type this as I'm sipping on a glass of red wine.. oops.

The Overpass (7/10) - The first few seconds of this song really just makes you wanna take your boobies or your tatas, if you will. I imagine this song being played behind a police chasing scene. I think my favourite part of this song is the chorus, I can't crack the rest of the song though - but like many things, if you keep listening or doing it, it'll get easier to do or listen to.

King Of The Clouds (10/10) - When this song came out early I'm pretty sure I listened to it atleast 50 times (and counting!) just to learn all the lyrics perfectly. It brings me so much joy to sing these lyrics in time, all the words merge into eachother perfectly. It's such a magical song. My favourite bits are 100% the second verse, I have those lyrics down to perfection. Also nearing the end of the song when he says the word "Imagination" Plus this song is about getting high isnt it Brendon? Of course it is, why did I even have to ask. My favourite song out of them all I think.

Old Fashioned (9/10) - Another song on the album that makes you feel sassy as heck. I feel like you could play this song at a family BBQ with a guitar, also please can we have the acoustic version of this? My favourite part is the "Get Boozy" bit, it's such a bop. 100% my favourite part of the song. The way the chorus is drawn out is also so beautiful.

Dying In LA (7/10) - Ah, a slow song. Literally the only slow song on the album. Just like the song above I would love to hear the acoustic version of this, please do it Brendon, please? "Every face on the boulevard is a dreamer just like you" Perfection. The only part of this song I'm not raving about is when he says "dying" in the chorus, sorry Brendon, I love you. Also why do I feel like Pharrell Williams could cover this song?!

I can't wait to hopefully see this album live, I'm so pumped. My rating for this whole album is 1000000/10. I love it. Well done guys, I'm so proud of how they were able to release this album so fast, I honestly honestly didn't see it coming so soon.

What's your favourite songs from the album?
